Your Trade Copier Says 1% Risk. On Some Brokers It Was 10%: What Local Trade Copier 3.1.10 Fixed

Local Trade Copier 3.1.10: real risk sizing from the stop loss and exact leverage ratio

You set Risk Per Trade to 1%. Your trade copier opens a gold trade. How much are you really risking?

Until now, on some brokers, the honest answer was “maybe 10%”. Local Trade Copier 3.1.10, released on November 6, 2026, fixes that.

Where the hidden risk came from

To turn “1% of my balance” into a lot size, a trade copier needs to know what one point of price movement is worth. MetaTrader reports that as the symbol’s tick value. Most brokers report it correctly. A few don’t, and we saw it on gold. With a wrong tick value, the copier calculates the wrong lot, and a trade could carry up to 10 times the risk in your settings.

You wouldn’t notice until a stop loss was hit.

What 3.1.10 does instead

Local Trade Copier now asks MetaTrader for the real loss at your stop loss and sizes the lot from that number. That works for Risk Per Trade in % and in money. The risk in your settings is the risk you take, whatever your broker reports as tick value.

Leverage protection is exact now too. With EnableLeverageProtectionWithAAM, a master at 1:500 and a client at 1:200 means the lot is cut by exactly 2.5 times. Before, the ratio was rounded down, and smaller differences such as 1:100 vs 1:60 didn’t reduce the lot at all.

Also new in 3.1.10

  • Copy from an MT5 netting account as the master.
  • Trades rejected for a temporary reason (busy server, requote, price changed) are retried instead of skipped.
  • New setting IfPairLimitReached: copy one trade per pair, even when the master splits its entries.
  • Shift Entry works with IgnorePendingOrders and Manual-Like Entry: no pending order on your account, just a market entry at your better price.
