There you’ll find video tutorials for the Equity Sentry software for MT4.

How Equity Sentry EA works and how to use it on MT4

Equity Sentry EA is one of the most useful MetaTrader 4 apps because it not only can save your account from an unexpected drawdown but also apply “Evergreen Profit Target” and offer very useful “On Timer” functions to perform various security actions at your desired time.

Also, to protect your account from a disaster, ESEA is ready to close all open trades, disable Autotrading, shutdown all EAs by closing all charts or even close MT4 terminal completely.

      Hi Rimantas,

I am a recent purchaser of the Equity Sentry, and am quite positive regarding the possibilities it offers.

I do have a few questions regarding the Sentry, and while I have gone through the manual above, I wonder if there is a written manual for this EA, which could be useful.

In any case I have a question regarding Security Trigger #2.

The Trigger when floating Losss reaches X (%) . What is the % of?

      Is it
      a) the % of the open positions of the particular magic number
      b) % size of the account balance
      c) % of the equity

Any advice you could provide would be fantastic.

      Much appreciated,
      Lucy

        Hi,

        great question.

The answer is simple… X% of the account balance.

Security triggers #2 uses trade filters. The ESEA will calculate the floating profit/loss of all the trades matching your filter (magic number and pair) and then use that to calculate the floating P/L in % of the account balance.
If the account balance is $1000 and you have -$100 floating in open trades, then it’s a 10% floating loss.

When the floating loss of your trade filter (magic number and pair) reaches X% of balance, the ESEA will trigger your chosen actions.

        I hope this helps.
